Mind control at the U of R.
    A gentleman named Andy Pero claims that he was brainwashed by former Nazi scientists working for the US government at the U of R, and trained in using psychic powers.  According to Pero, he was part of a project designed to create super soldiers. In addition he claims that he had the ability to lift as much as 1500 pounds, was involved in time travel experiments, and undergo hypnotic programming to forget about what he was forced to do.  Needless to say, I’m skeptical.
    According to him he was part of a project to help win World War II by traveling back in time with plans for weapons. This claim is logically inconsistent. In his story, he is traveling back in time from a timeline where the US already won WWII. Why would there be a need to “help” the process?
    He also makes claims that there is a New World Order, made up in part of Nazis, Jews, aliens, and George Bush. He pretty much touches on most of the popular conspiracy theories as of 1999, and was clearly influenced by the writings of David Icke.
    Most of these claims are difficult to test, though. One in particular stuck me as something that the RIT Skeptics could look into:

   


    According to this map, the fourth floor of the library is fairly small and would not be difficult to search for hidden torture chambers. There is also elevator access to a higher level which doesn't have much said about it on the website.

    There is also a second, newer library at U of R, but because it is newer, it is less likely to be the one that Pero is talking about. Of course, it remains to be seen how well U of R librarians would take to RIT students hunting for secret torture chambers, but it might be worth a look.
