12 Florida School Boards Underhandedly Pass Anti-Evolution Measures
Twelve Florida school boards have passed resolutions stating that evolution is not a fact, only a theory. This has largely been unnoticed by the mainstream media this time. It's time to show these school boards that education is about facts and not about myths and tall tales. It's been over 80 years since the Scopes Trial, and we're still debating whether or not to dislodge science and teach religion in school. When will this end?
Update: Even more schools are doing this:
"Taylor County’s resolution says something a bit different: “so that evolution is presented as one of several theories as to how the universe was formed.” News flash, folks: evolution taught in the high school biology class doesn’t cover how the universe was formed. That little twitch there, you know, the itch to bring up the universe when all we’re supposed to be talking about is changes in life over time, is a clue to the reason behind all of this. But that’s not all."
And Huckabee repeats the same ol' "evolution is not a fact" nonsense. America looks like a backwards unscientific place where fairies rule the land to other nations when this happens, and it won't stop anytime soon.

Make peace, not war!
idiots
If only only facts cared about what we thought...
Then voting on things like that might actually make some difference. This crosses into the falsifiability realm, so I have no qualms about calling them idiots.
Love Truth
War and peace are irrelevant to this topic. Education is not a complex matter; we merely must learn, through facts and evidence, so that society may move away from a state of gullibility and superstition and towards knowledge and understanding. Measures, like this case, where the facts are ignored and the desire of humankind for life to be similar to a fairy tale are why we take one step forward instead of two.
